When Chef Teddy Diggs set out to open Coronato Pizza, a Roman-style pizzeria in Carrboro, he wanted a brand that captured the casual, lively spirit of Rome’s urban eateries while celebrating the authenticity of Roman pizza. Inspired by the city’s graffiti-covered streets, I developed a bold, spray-painted logo and a visual identity system featuring a crisp color palette, partially hand-lettered typography, and menu design. The result is a brand that feels genuine, energetic, and unmistakably Roman—reflecting both the restaurant’s warm, heartfelt hospitality and its signature thin, blistered, and crunchy Roman-style crust.
