Design for 2025 research report outlining employer-focused strategies to expand access to affordable, high-quality child care in North Carolina. The project included a concise one-pager for executive audiences and a full booklet translating multi-state policy research into clear, accessible visuals that support informed decision-making. A set of strategic communications materials designed to translate a comprehensive 2025 NC Chamber Foundation report into clear, accessible formats for employers, policymakers, and community stakeholders. The project included both a concise one-pager and a full-length booklet outlining eleven employer-focused strategies to expand the supply of accessible, affordable, high-quality child care in North Carolina. The report draws on an analysis of child care policies across 28 states with similar population growth and governance, as well as recommendations from North Carolina organizations and recent state and local actions. My role focused on creating a cohesive visual system across both formats—establishing clear information hierarchy, approachable typography, and custom illustrations that help simplify complex policy concepts, workforce impacts, and systems relationships. The one-pager distills key findings into an executive-friendly overview, while the booklet supports deeper exploration through structured layouts, visual storytelling, and illustration-driven reinforcement of core themes. Together, these materials balance research depth with visual clarity, supporting informed discussion and decision-making around workforce participation, economic stability, and the future of North Carolina’s labor force.
